Enlightened English

Hmm ! So Here we are again. I am back to type more and hopefully you are back to read some more!
I know That the post title carries a certain enigma with it, what else could u expect, after all it is coming from me. But before I come to the part where I explain what that is, I'd like you to read a excerpt from my favorite discourse by Sri Sri.

Buddha - The Manifestation of Silence
When Buddha was enlightened on that full moon night in the month of May, he kept silent... He did not say a word for a whole week. Mythology says that this frightened all the angels in heaven - for once in a millennium, does one blossom so fully as Buddha had, and yet he was silent; he was not saying a word! It is said that all the angels approached Buddha and asked him to please say something.
Buddha said, "Those who know, they know even without my saying, and those who do not know, they will not know by my words. Any description of light to a blind man is of no use. To one who has not tasted the ambrosia of the existence of life, there is no point in talking about it. So I am silent."
How can you convey something so intimate , something so personal? Not through words - they cannot suffice. Many Scriptures in the past have declared: "Words end where truth begins."

Haven't you find yourself speechless, trying to express the inexpressible, explain the inexplicable, trying to make others understand what exists on a level deeper than your feelings and your experiences and found them not being able to grasp what u want to convey.

Such is this unquenchable thirst to complete the meaning in your words that you keep on speaking; but all in vain. You speak some and you think you are quite near in telling them whatever you want to say, so you speak more and find yourself a little more distance apart from what you actually meant. Panic ensues and you speak some more but find yourself more distant ! and then some more and some more and some more ...

Exactly like what is happening here -  I am trying to convey what I mean and I speak more and more but to no avail
( although i hope not ) !

So How does a Enlightened one actually communicate the brahmā jñānā ?

The grammar is what (I call) is 'Enlightened English'- using grammatically incomplete (according to classical English) sentences/phrases to convey a much more complete meaning, much "fuller" meaning.

Perplexed?
Remember the catchphrases - "That am I", "... but, I am" or those innumerable instances of written matter about the seer, the seen, the doer and the happening, the big mind and the small mind and so on.

For those of you who have experienced this, it is a fact, but for the rest I'd state - It is said that the words of the enlightened immediately translate into experiences. Touching somewhere down underneath, right at the core. Such strong is the intention, such strong is the conviction. Without this, truly no words even skim the surface of what is being imparted.

Those of you who are not yet initiated, who haven't yet tasted the "ambrosia of the existence of life" might rubbish everything I am talking about. It is okay! You can quit reading right now or you may even dare to continue. But stop and see; the words of my master have inspired great fires of wisdom drying out oceans of ignorance, establishing us all in our-selves.
And for those of you going "Aho!", speaking truthfully ( being totally aware of the fact that none in this world can actually speak the truth, but still) this whole exercise was rubbish. Just become aware of your master's words, live your life that way. Become aware of what comes out of your mouth. Reign in your tongue. Speak what is worth speaking, then this rubbish of Enlightened English would start making sense.

Even though grammar has rules, but whatever the word "enlighten" binds itself with,

that is not bound by anything!
En lightening English !

  4. i agree with you...i think words are like a formality to provide relevance to what we want to communicate or what we feel or react...they r misleading & often tend to align into a meaning for someone according to a person's own level of intellect or thinking process...words written(according to english grammar) are weighted according to the deepness they exhibit, often criticized for not being able to fully express how it should have(gosh critics!!)..on the contrary the'enlightened english' scores well over because of its simple explanation of complex confusing realities of life itself explained with a totally different(heavy!!) set of vocab, which i think cancels out and a beautiful meaning is conveyed :)
    Aho!!
